After a successful career in Chicago as an interior designer, Colleen Moscone returned to Michigan and began serving clients through her new venture, Statements By Design, in 1999. The business philosophy is to provide clients with functional spaces that reflect their lifestyle and personality.

After working with Michael Alessio on several projects and sharing the same dedication to excellence, it was a natural step to expand the business and include their strengths in each new project.

Today, Statements By Design is a sought-after resource for discriminating homeowners who want to renovate or expand their living spaces.

Family living spaces, custom lower levels, entertainment areas, wet bars, children's rooms and baths are some of the projects that have been completed for clients in Michigan's Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw and Wayne counties, including the cities of Brighton, Novi, Commerce Township, Bloomfield, Northvile, Milford, Plymouth, Livonia and Fenton.

Colleen Moscone is a 1993 graduate of Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Environment and Design. She studied interior design and architecture in Europe before beginning work for the Chicago office of Morgan Stanley-Dean Witter as an Interior Designer. There she tackled large projects that required study of all aspects of a structure. Space planning, budget management, design development, consultations and negotiations with vendors, and project coordination were all handled within aggressive schedules.

Colleen achieved National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification in 1999 and became a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She became a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) in 2005. She received the Detroit Home Design First Place Award for her wine cellar design in 2005. Colleen became a licensed builder in the State of Michigan in 2006.

She seeks to provide clients with a pleasant, personable, professional experience, and uses her skills to manage projects effectively and achieve their goals with enthusiasm and resourcefulness.
